Oprah's Big Give question... where was the High Hope place they were talking about at?
Last night (3/2/08) on the first show of Oprah's Big Give they granted wishes for a couple that started a group called High Hope but I couldn't ever figure out where it was. I have a cousin involved with a group for hanicapped people called High Hope in Atlanta GA but I'm not sure if this is the same group. Can anyone tell me if the one on the show was in Atlanta? Thanks!
smart lady... I think you might be right. I thought it was possibly California but I wanted a little confirmation. It could be a sister group of the one in Atlanta though. I'm sure my aunt/cousin would have told our entire family if it were their group in Atlanta. I guess it doesn't really matter where it was though... it's just great to see those folks finally get something they deserve. Handicapped individuals are too often overlooked and considered 'worthless'. Thanks!

It was actually in Temecula, California. All the "gives" were in the area surrounding Los Angeles, and Temecula isn't far from L.A. Here's a link to Temecula's website where they mention the High Hopes program.

I thought it was High Hope in California. Wow, wouldn't that be great if it was Atlanta were your cousin works for.
This show is awesome, I can't wait to see what happens next week.
