is it true that PS3 games will only work with your PS3 and cannot buy second hand games?

Heard rummours that PS3 games when new will register with your system and not work on lets say a friends ps3, is this true, that would mean that there is no 2nd games market

    At 1st, there where rumors of that being true but before PS3 launch they said that wasn't going to happen, so no PS3 can play used games.

    No that is not true. That would be like Sony taking a gun and pulling the trigger on their own heads.

    I just played Uncharted from blockbuster.....so no its not true.
