I'm gonna live and study in New York City soon. What is the price of apartment in New York City?

That all depends on where in New York City you want to live and what type of apartment you are looking into renting. Of course with size comes price.
Now if you want to live in Manhattan, the heart of the city that everyone sees on T.V., then you will be paying alot for rent a couple thousand for a small living space. If you want to live in harlem, North Manhanny, then it will cost substantially less and you'll only be a short train ride away from the city. If you want to save a buck or a thousand and you dont mind living away from the city the apartments in the other boroughs, The Bronx, Queens, and Brooklyn are quite reasonable if you dont mind the crowds and occassional shoot out.
Staten Island is aninconvenience in my opinion because you need to take a ferry to get to the city, not to mention I remember a couple of years ago one of the ferrys sank.
Hope I was some help to you.

Where are you going to study? There are so many schools in New York City, that it really depends on what neighborhood you'll be in. For example, if you're going to Columbia, your rent probably wouldn't be very expensive since you'd be living in or around Harlem. If you're going to NYU, however, your rent will be far more.
I suggest you take a look at The Real Estate Group's Manhattan Rental Market Report...it'll show you the different rental prices in each neighborhood.

It depends on where you're going to live. Manhattan is expensive, so I would advice renting an apartment outside of Manhattan, such as Brooklyn or Queens, and commute into Manhattan.
Good luck in college
