YA! Wisdom for US Economics...?

For every $1,000 you pay in taxes, $86 goes to pay for social security benefits and Medicare. That leaves $914 for National Defense, social programs, schools, etc.

In 50 years, for every $1,000 you pay, $760 will pay for Social Security and Medicare; which leaves on $240 for everything else. If you listen to what the politicians talk about, they're talking about spending MORE money on programs, not less.

So, how do you think the government is going to make this work?

Think about it. It's YOUR future.

Let's see,... spend more money in OUR country, or spend more in OTHER countries...hmm.

The Pentagon gives our warplane contract to a company in France. Boeing lays off thousands... Some of those people will need help. How did that happen?

That is only one example, there are thousands of them. Try keeping up with the news.

If the GOP would stop destroying the middle class, there would be far less need for "programs".

Bush inherited economic prosperity and a balanced budget, and there ya go. So I guess the answer to your question on how to make it work is to change administrations.

no, we need to stop making more programs and start taking some away. This goes back until FDR created the backdrop for all cowards to feed off of. Once we get rid of the programs.............PEOPLE WILL HAVE TO WORK HARDER....and we will be getting somewhere.
