Why does life seem more and more pointless everyday?

Is there really a point to all the pain and suffering? Is everyone unhappy in life or just a hand full of us? Why is life so damn hard!? Does anyone ever really find true happiness?

    seems that way, don't it?

I really think it's me, though.

Even though it seems like a lot of stuff is screwed up, I have to realize that I know I have been diagnosed with a condition that CAUSES me to see the worse, to think pessimistically, to feel worthless, etc.

But, everytime I make the effort to educate myself, to practice what I've been learning, and to understand my condition, I have made noticeable improvement!

Changes that heal~ Dr. Henry Cloud

when I was a christian, this book really hit home and helped me heal a lot of pain that stemmed from a rough childhood

    Four Agreements~ Miguel Ruiz

as an adult, I was becoming more and more jaded and feeling like a victim of everyone else's judgements and cruelty. This book made me realize that not only was I not under attack, but how many other people go through this same disassociation and isolation that makes them feel hopeless. (maybe you should start here.)

    Buddhism/Yoga~ websites galore

I don't actually practice extensively. I pick up nuggets of wisdom here and there, though, that seem to help immensely with the stress. Sitting and meditating has often filled me with a restored sense of clarity, helping me arrest self destructive behavior, addictions, and digging my own holes.

On the same note, I'm now reading

    Letting Go~ Guy Finley

a common sense approach to meditation that not only gives you that moment of pause where you let your thoughts go without acting on them immediately- a huge cause of our despair, actually- but he helps you see how sitting and observing these thoughts will free you to a new life where happiness is just THERE. It's not a trick, something you earn through hard work or get from someone or something. It's like a room in your house that got cluttered and lost, and by "letting go" of all that stuff you "remember" it for what it is.

good luck fighting the voices of despair and returning to the quiet calm!

This pain and suffering is rare and brief. That you have it is a gift beyond comprehension.

Take this moment of awareness while you can actually twist it into something in your mind because those days are numbered.

It's both your chemical condition and your choice to accept the reality as your perceive it or make it something worthwhile during your time on this planet.

A lot of people with your mindset decide to check out early because they just can't deal. I don't recommend it. That day will come hastily whether by your hand or just by chance.

If you can try to make a list of good things in your life and there is just one good thing on that list, you need to find it and bring it into your life however possible.

If you cannot, I'm afraid you may be broken and you may need the help of someone who can help you find joy in your life.

You need to stop being so down! If everyone was like that, there would be no good in the world. you really just need to be positive and live life while you can, because it can be gone so fast, and you never get a second chance. Just do things you've always wanted to do and don't worry about what will happen. I really think you should listen to some uplifting music, or see the movie the Last Holiday. It's about a lady who finds out she's about to die and she goes away on a huge vacation dn has the time of her life. I hope this helps you!

If this "something special" is a specific gift you are supposed to be using you will not get the answer here, that answer is inside you and only you can figure that out. If it is a more general ideal it could be as simple as helping people by simple actions, deeds and words. You can incorporate this into your life or make it your life. There are so many ways to do this but the important thing is the intent behind your actions , words and deeds. Drop me an e-mail if you would like to discuss this further , I would be glad to elaborate.

Hm.. what seems so hard in your life?

Hardships come and go, people find ways to get over it, and everyone has their own ways.

I know how you feel, sometimes its just as if the world didnt get you,a nd you were singled out.
