Ideas for ceramic pots to do solar cooking.?
I saw an idea of having a dark pot inside a glass jar and having reflectors aiming at the jar for solar cooking.
I have a gallon bell jar. I am taking a ceramic class doing Cone 10 pots. I can make a reflector with corrugated and foil.
What foods would be good for solar picnics?
What type of ceramic pots would be handy?

Here a whole collection of recipes:
http://solarcooking.wikia.com/wiki/Recipes
it does come with an introduction and cooking tips.
If you google, there are plenty more websites with specific solar cooking recipes.
I don't think the kind of pot you are making is critical. Any shape you normally like to use for cooking. Casserole dishes will be especially handy.

I like everyone else's ideas. I have a couple to add. Our favorites in the crock pot are chili (whatever recipe you like on the stove) and a few other simple things: Beef Stew cheap boneless beef, cut into bite-size pieces potatoes, peeled and chopped into large pieces baby carrots onion, chopped other options: fresh mushrooms, fresh or canned tomatoes The key to good crock-pot beef stew is the layering: from bottom to top you should put the potatoes, carrots, (mushrooms), onion, (tomatoes), then beef on top. I don't add any liquid at all. Salt & pepper the top, cook on low for 8-10 hours. BBQ pork sandwiches 1/2 or whole pork loin 1 bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce Pour BBQ over pork in crock pot, cook on low for 10-12 hours, then shred with two forks. DELICIOUS! Hope this helps!

Be sure to use oven clay not just any ^10 clay.
