I have watched a lot of horror movies. Cannibal Holocaust, I spit on your grave, the zombie movies, the halloween movies, the nightmare movies, and so on. My parents didnt put any restrictions though. Ive always believed that movies are just pure entertainment, and horror movies aint no different. Id stop my kids from watching real horror till they are 18. My baby is only 3 months old.

I don't watch a lot of horror movies because I'm a HUGE scaredy-cat and when I see a lot of blood I freak out, so instead I read horror books. In a way tho, watching horror movies is dumb because you are paying to be scared, and that's kind of stupid, but yea, I would watch more horror movies if I was less freaked out by everything.

I looove horror movies. I think some people say they are bad to watch because they perpetuate violence, etc. You just have to know that a movie is obviously not real life. I can't stand when Hollywood makes/releases those "last minute" horror flicks just to draw in money. anyway, some of my faves in the genre are:
hostel
saw 1
carrie
the hills have eyes
the shining
jaws
exorcist

I watch some horror movies but horror movies now just seem so fake.
A lot of them are very similar as well.
If horror movies weren't so alike and fake looking I'd defiantely watch a lot more of them.
And no, it is not wrong to watch them.

I loved them as a kid but as an adult they're not to scary any more. Because:
1.I'm not too afraid of dying, just of the pain (like if I had cancer or something)
2.I'm more afraid of other, more realistic things like:
a.dying alone
b.my parents getting sick/hurt
c.foreign wars and world politics
Guess I am getting old, huh. But as a kid, Freddy Krueger scared the hell out of me!
