Brother/Sister love between two unrelated people?

Love most definitely exists, and is something we all have deep inside us. Love is not actions, love is a feeling, and it is a deep feeling that more than any of the other feelings, just happens and doesn't seem to have a rational explanation. You might be able to manipulate somebody into liking you, such as by not being honest about who you are and what you think and feel, but you cannot manipulate somebody into loving you. Love exists or does not exist outside of what the two of you do. When you are with somebody, and a feeling comes over you, and it changes you, and makes you act certain ways, and you don't know why, that is love. When you are with somebody, and a profound gentleness comes over you toward that person, that is love. I know this from personal experience. At 27 years old, I am in love now, for the first time, despite being in numerous relationships over the last ten years. I doubted love, too, until now. Believe me, if you doubt love, you must not have ever felt it, because when you do, you will know it is love. It will come from inside you and change everything. And when it does, let go of what you're doing and thinking, and just feel and be. It's the closet to God you'll ever get on Earth.

Well, this is normal. I have that too going on. This shows that you and that person have a lot of trust and honesty going on. It's amazing.. =]

All that it takes to have this feeling is that you 2 have spend so much time together, know everything about one another and share everything .. meaning that you never lied to this person nor she did, honest about everything, help each other out, and talk a lot..

I have a best friend who happens to be a guy. It causes a lot of tension between my boyfriend and I because he can't understand that kind of relationship.

Truthfully, the friend and I have talked about dating, but one of us is usually in a relationship. When it got to a time when both of us were single, we talked about it more seriously, and decided that that sort of connection wasn't there, and it would be like dating your sibling.

That's my favorite kind of relationship. One where you're so close that you're like siblings, and there is no tension or pressure to be anything more. So don't worry about it. It's completely normal.

I guess it just takes a lot of time and a lot of trust and just knowing (and both agreeing) that it is nothing more than that.

I think it MAY be possible especially if she is great - I knew a few girls that were awesome and I thought along the lines you do, but it turned out they all had a thing for me - the attraction was not mutual on my part.....

Yea that is very possible because it shows that you really care about that person and they are like family. I have a friend that is a girl and she is like a sister to me because we are very close, she understands my problems and she accepts me as a person vice versa. I think it takes times to develop those feelings and you just don`t feel the way about everyone but I think that it is very possible to develop those feelings.

I think it's totally normal. I have a guy friend that is like a brother to me. We love each other very much, but not in a romantic way, in a brother/sister way.

Don't worry. It's perfectly healthy, and there's nothing wrong with it.

what does it take to have them? Im not sure what u mean, its just natural; it doesnt take extra effort because its just natural.

i've had this before. i thinks its very natural and comforting to have a relationship like this! i havea few friends who i feel like they are brothers. i know they would always give me advice, support me and protect me if i needed. and i can be goofy and act myself around them without any pressure! its great =)

of cause you can get those feelings and its great to have those feelings, it just a strong connection you both have something more strong then friendship and you are very lucky to have that,
