I am in a semi-detached house, so no I don;t lmpay loud music at home. I try to respect my neighbours peace. Only disappointing thing is, they don't seem to care about us! Constant battles unfortunately. If i want to play loud music, i usually keep it for the car as i'm not offending/upsetting anyone there.

I'm one of the most obnoxious 40-somethings about music that you're likely to meet (or hear). I don't do it all the time, but when I do I have been asked to turn it down by: 1) parents (naturally); 2) spouse; 3) children (my own, no less); 4) neighbors who lived a couple of acres away; 5) co-workers when I was wearing headphones. Remarkably enough, I still have fairly acute hearing because I crank up the bass line, it's apparently the treble that causes hearing loss.

It is never too loud because I like the fact that I still hear well

That's actually a pet peeve of mine, like really loud music in like a smallish room. It doesn't bother me as much if it's in a big room or outside.

Just loud enough so I can hear it.
Otherwise I would disturb the neighborhood
