half life 2 installation problem?
when i try to install half life 2 it gives me an error message that if can't find a file and tells me to verify it exists and access it. so does anyone know what to do? the same thing is happening with my battlefield 1942 cd. it keeps on saying it can't find a file. so any ideas how i can solve this problem?

make a folder and install it to that directory, make a folder on your desktop if you have to. I suggest installing HL2 via steam though...
