Can I use the new Sony Ericcson walkman phones with T-Mobile service?

I used to be with T-mobile and as long as the phone you buy is unlocked and can be used with any SIM card you can use it.

The W810 follows a long tradition of beautifully designed and crafted phones from Sony Ericsson. The same candy-bar style that graced the W800 is here, as is the horizontally-oriented camera unit on the back of the phone, allowing you to hold the phone just as you would a camera when you're taking pictures. The W810's screen sports 176 x 220 pixel resolution with support for 262,000 colors. Quick access buttons below the screen make it easy to control the phone's Walkman music features, while a five-way center button controls most of the phone's menus and features.

The W810 contains 20 MB of embedded memory, but as mentioned, a Memory Stick Duo slot is provided, and it also supports Pro Duo cards, giving you storage capacities of 2 GB and beyond. The phone ships with a 512 MB Memory Stick Duo card. Of course, there's also a port for the phone's included stereo headset. USB and infrared data ports are provided, as well, and the phone supports USB mass storage so you can simply plug the phone into your computer and drag and drop files into the phone's memory using the included Disc2Phone PC application. To top it all off, the W810's camera flash can double as a flashlight.

I would imagine it will work if you unlocked it since it says that it uses 3G.

This also looks like an imported phone, and lots of my asian friends have Ericcsons.

My uncle actually has an ericcson, and uses AT&T, so it should work for T-mobile.

Just unlock it and place the sim where it should be and it should detect the SIM card.

look on their website and see if it is listed as one of their phones. If not, then most likely not w/o some "help"? You can also call them to verify. If not then you can get the phone unlocked. You can use one of the websites online and pay them $20-25 to help you unlock your phone so that you can put your SIM card in it. (maybe someone on here can provide you with a good website)

Depends...if the two phones are in the same company then yes you could....,but if the phones is from a different company then no...but sony ericcson is usually cingular so if you have a contract then no you can not but if its pre paid yes you could

Yes, but the phone company person needs to put a code in there so it can be t-mobile.

Go to where you purchased it from and let them know what it is doing, and if they know what you have to do to solve the problem. If they don't know, you may have to look at your manual, look for the toll-free customer service center at Sony, call them and let them know what's happening and see what they can do for you.

no you have to buy the phones with the company you're using. Or switch to singular cuz they have them.
