Try not to think too much about it or you will be too nervous when the words come out wrong. Just be yourself. "how was your weekend?" 'Did you see that movie last night?' or something like that passing by.

U do not need to start or not need to show your feeling to him... if u do so then may be he think that he is the best and gals r behind him. so just behave normal dont excite when u see him. do something that makes him to talk with u. dont look at him but stay around him. dont talk with him but stay around him. just u have to keep yourself around him and he will try to talk with u.

talk to him about school work, then it'll lead to what music he likes, etc. ask him to get some ice cream and a walk on the beach at night

You can start a casual conversation if you have things in common like subjects , collegues etc.

Find out what he is good at. Then u can ask him to help u at it. Make it a routine, then try and get closer!
