Car shopping... help?

Is a Ford Explore going to blow up if i drive it? I've been car searching and i brought up the subject to some freinds, and they told me that the Explores kept blowing up in people's garages. So, do I want a Ford Explore? or is it going to be the death of me?

What kind of friends do you have? They really got you going, don't they... LOL. NO, they don't blow up...

You may want to concider the Excape for better milage. You can even get one in a hybrid.

well, I don't know if its going to literally blow up, but it will blow up your wallet. Not just the sticker price but because oil just hit a new high today at $105+ a barrel.. So if i were you i would look for something else.

NO im not one of those tree hugging hybrid driving anti suv people.. but as a non-rich-person when its time for me to get a new car, fuel economy is going to be high up on the list. If you do need a ford explorer size like car I would check out the toyota suv's for their durability and superior gas mileage

The explorers don't have a blowing up problem, just they had bad tires on it 2 generations ago. Have you looked at the Ford Edge, it gets better gas mileage, come with AWD, about the same price, holds as many people as Explorer as long as your not looking at one with a 3rd row seat.

I don't know what years you (or your friends) are speaking of but Explorers are decent vehicles. I drive a 2004 Mountaineer (Mercury version) with 80,000 on it. The only problem it has had was a transmission issue when it was new and that was fixed.

I have never heard or seen an Explorer 'blow up' and I have been around them since they have been around.

Explorers are great suv's . They dont blow up, thats just a real goofey thing to think. Gas mileage is not bad either. I owned one myself and was very happy with it. Buy it. A great vehicle, good power, reliability, and quality.
