Kenpo Red Sash??
Okay, it's been a hundred years since I had any exposure to Kenpo, but a recent question got me thinking of the old days, and a question has popped up that won't let go:
At what Dan rank does a Kenpo practitioner wear a red sash, as opposed to a black belt? I seem to remember my instructor in college mentioning that his instructor wore a red sash...could be old age, but help me out here guys...

In American Kenpo or most Kenpo systems practiced under the Mitose lineage including Ed Parker, there was no red sash.
From Mitose back the Red Sash I believe was the Senior Master rank but there were no belt at all only Sashes. If you hit me up back channel (through my email) I can give you a few places to look up the info.
