Am I allowed to receive a real estate sales license and broker license in the same year in Illinois?
I know in some states you're required to work for 2 years as a salesperson before being "allowed" to become a broker. In Illinois, is it possible to skip the whole sponsoring thing and go directly from getting a sales license to taking classes for a broker's license?
Can your first EVER interview with a real estate firm be as a licensed broker, or are you forced to start at the bottom?

Yes, you are allowed to receive a real estate sales license and a broker license in the same year.I just recently took my sales person exam and went straight to the broker classes and took the test. However, I did not get a salesperson license before I got a broker's license. The law that you have to be a broker for 2 years has not been mandated yet by the state of Illinois legislature. And to answer your other question usually, from what I've heard, if you are a real estate broker and start with a firm, it'll be like you're just a regular salesperson and have to be sponsored by another broker, which is why I chose to go into business for myself. Any other question feel free to contact me.
