Bed question: Is a "full queen" the same as a "full" sized bed? I am confused by description.

I thought there were either a full or a queen and now I see bedding for "full queen". Help me!!!

Update:

I understand that there are full and queen but what the heck is a full/queen?

A full size is smaller than a queen. A full queen is the same as a queen, just different wording.

Queen is a Queen...Full is a Full..two different things. If you need extra help, use a measuring tape to make sure you get the size you are looking for.

i'm pretty sure that a full-queen is in between a full and a queen. they just keep coming out with new sizes.

Source(s): my roomate and i both have queens and his is not as wide as mine.

The term 'full/queen' usually describes blankets, quilts, comforters, bedspreads, etc. that are in between true full-size and true queen-size, and that can be used on either size mattress.

i have seen that terminology, but only for blankets. more than anything it would mean it's queen sized which would also be a large full. the same thing holds true for queen/king

guess what size it really is.

i have never seen that terminology used for anything else.
