Here's a trick you can try. It's something I do for muscle pains all the time
Fill a gym sock up with dry rice ( the cooking type )
Tie off the end
Microwave on high for 60-90 seconds
Check to make sure it's not too hot
apply to the sore area for about 10 mins.
Don't throw it away!! You can use it over and over for months as long as the rice stays dry
