The ONLY spellings I'd even consider are proper Anglicization Aidan, correctly-spelled Hayden or musically-inspired Haydn.
Aidan - the only acceptable Anglicized form of Celtic Aodhan/Aedan, to be honest. http://www.behindthename.com/php/search.php?nmd=n&... And while it's true that Aiden is equally common in the states, this is a strictly-American MISSPELLING. To put it into perspective a bit, while Aidan is also around the top fifty in Ireland, where it originated, "Aiden" doesn't even make the list. http://www.nisra.gov.uk/archive/demography/publica... Enough said. ;)
Hayden/Haydn - current trends aside, Hayden still retains a bit of old-world charm in my mind. So if you're comfortable with the popularity, a fine choice, but I wouldn't use a random variant spelling such as "Haydan." Haydn certainly makes sense, especially to those familiar with its origins, but bear in mind that those who AREN'T (and even many who are LOL) will still assume it a random misspelling of popular Hayden, given that very popularity.
And don't be misled by well-meant comments. Hayden -- and the "Aidan" trend in general (don't forget Braden, Caden, Jadon, etc., not to mention all their misspellings!) -- IS more than simply a US trend. Jayden, Aidan and, yes, Hayden all appear among the top 100 boy names in the UK, and have for years. http://www.statistics.gov.uk/specials/babiesnames_... So be sure you're very comfortable with that level of popularity -- literally the largest male naming trend out there at the moment -- if you are to use one of these. ;)

Aidan, Aiden, and Hayden are the only correct spellings. Anything else will just look wrong and will pretty much mean that no one will ever spell the kid's name correctly.

Aiden/Jayden/Hayden...they are all too worn out, too many people naming their kids those names these days....I would choose something different or your kid will be one of 5 Aiden's in his kindergarten class.
