I took an old recording to a local music store that has a small recording studio. For $60.00, they not only provided me with three CD's, they also filtered out some of the scratchy sounds. It was a very old recording, and not it great shape. It was well worth the money and I was very happy with the results. I found them in the yellow pages, and I live in a mid-sized town.

I can do it, but you probably live too far away. You need to buy software and a cable to do this with your own computer (that is if you have a turntable - which means record player)
