Has anyone notice that whenever Kobe scores 30+, he is called a ballhog. When Lebron gets 40+, no one cares.?

everyone say that Kobe is a ballhog, taking more shots than needed. he's just trying to help his team.

Kobe 2-3 years ago doesnt have any option so he always do all the work, and Lebron is going the same path that Kobe went 2-3 years ago with the Cavs

i wish they would get a good point guard, i would be thrilled if they get Chris Paul

but the trade doesnt do anything

West and Sczerbiak just gets about 10-14 points a night and Ben Wallace is just a one dimensional player, its nothing, thats why Lebron puts up 30+ a night

This is the first year where Kobe has played a perfect all around game, he is by far the best he has ever been at making his team better, this laker show has been the most entertaining since the Magic n Worthy days and thats because its fluid team basketball.

Lebron on the other hand is becoming a cocky arrogant ***, who has been seeing talking to people on the sidelines and tooting his own horn and throwing team mates to the lions.. I believe we are seeing the real Lebron, and he doesn't make teamates better he is just a product of overhype and knows how to use his body, but I believe he should start getting some negative press soon, give it a year people will wake up.

With LeBron, I guess it's just that fact that he doesn't seem to have a negative attitude displayed towards him. He's just Lebron James, and nobody can hate him.

Kobe, on the other hand, seems arrogant, even though I'm sure a 43-17 record can tone you down a bit. The fact of the matter is, Kobe Bryant is displayed as an arrogant dick, while Lebron has a more positive outlook on things (Of course, when you lead your team to the NBA Finals, it's sort of hard to be angry or arrogant).

It's just how people see it

Note: I don't totally believe this, or agree with this, I'm just going with what people are saying, and I'm simply answering the question. I'm not taking sides, I'm answering the way I think people see it.

In his first all-star game, Kobe got a pick from Karl Malone, part of the greatest pick-n-roll tandem in the history of the NBA, which he waved off like he was waving off some high school kid.

The TV commentator called it the most disrespectful thing he had ever seen a young player do to an older player in an all-star game, and I consider that to be a gross understatement. Every season he finds a way to prove he's not changed his attitude about other players in the league or the NBA itself.

He has never shown any respect for the game, and will never get the same respect from fans of other teams that Lebron, or any other great player, who does show the proper respect for the people whose hard work and talent built the league for them.

Such a ****** question... You ask this when he is now shooting 5 less shots than he did two seasons ago and 3 less shots than last season...also he only gets 30+ when his team needs to know...look at his game log and every game you see were its above 30 it is because his team was down during some point of the game and things weren't going well offensively...for instance the game were he scored 52 points (Agianst Dallas) Pau couldnt make a shot neither could Odom...HE HAD TO TAKE OVER...so in my opinion this isn't a real question if you want an answer just go search it because tons of people have already asked it and there is no best answer just a "My opinion is the same as his" go stare at a lebron poster or something...

I agree with your observation. Kobe had a much worse team than Lebron from 05-07 (ie. Kwame Brown, Smush Parker) meaning he had to carry all the offensive load, but people still called him a ballhog then. But when Lebron has to carry the offensive load for his crappy team, people don't say anything. It's a double-standard, I tell ya.

ALL OF YOU BE QUIT!!!!!! if someone were to pick any players on earth and put them on any team it would be like this no one would ever pick up BRON BRON cuz hes to young to be a killer B-BALL STAR Kobe HOwever has always been SUPAMAN to the Lakers and he is a ballhog but now someones backing him up and if ya look for the lans 2-3 years Kobe has had to take the shots and BE THE TEAM and plus Kobe has that KILLER INSTICT witch makes him now when to take that pretty little jump shot of HIS

Nope, sure haven't. Everyone knows Kobe can score. Everyone knows Kobe has more options than LeBron use to have. LeBron has more options now, but they have to get used to playing with him. As they become more comfortable, he won't have to shoot as much unless they're having an off night.

Both are ballhogs(in a positive way). But the reason why no one cares about lebrons 40+ games is because he manges to put up 10+ assist sometimes.

  • 1 decade ago

    No one cares?

Lebron is the biggest ballhog in the NBA. He has to be, though, because without him, they Cavs blow.

It used to be that way in LA, but not anymore. I think Kobe trusts some of his teammates now, but the repuation just stuck with him.
