yeah, i think most people use the bible to hate on the gays.

they get really pissed when you tell them that the bible also says "judge not, lest ye be judged"

i also think fear plays a big part of it. they fear it, because they don't understand it.

I think that deep down inside all homophobes are insecure about their own sexuality, and their "hatred" is just a show because they are afraid to associate themselves with anything different because of what others might think.

There are legitimate reasons for people feeling that way. The bible says things about it, but also it says "Love they neighbor." that includes gay people.
