Why did HBO cancel "THE WIRE?"?
It just seemed like that the characters were inter-changeable. And it would have still been great.

It wasn't canceled, it had a full run. It was never intended to go past 5 seasons, thats what the writer intended. At times throughout the series' run they weren't even sure if it was going to make it that far. Nonetheless it made it, in its entirety.

HBO comes to a point ok after 6 or more seasons the tv show is going to be done. I mean I really thought Sopranos was going to go on for 15-20 years.
