when i worked at a hotel (LaQuinta), we would make guest get another room. due to fire codes and safety issues, no more than 5 to a room with two beds. and 4 in a room with one bed. since you have 8, they might make you spilt into 2 rooms. but it all does depend on the hotel you are in. they might kick you out... so be prepared. just dont let the front desk see too many ppl, and also the maids, watch out for them. if they think too many ppl have been staying in the room they will tell the front desk. and then the front desk HAS to go check. its rules... it sucks. i had to kick 10 ppl outta double bed room. they refused to get two rooms, so they had to leave.

They can assess an additional charge if they become aware. But it's not likely. If you have 8 suitcases scattered all over the place, housekeeping will likely inform on you.

Just be reasonably discreet and they will never pay you any attention. If they did happen to take notice, say you guys were being too loud or came in en masse, then they may ask for more money or ask you to leave.

they probably wont notice. we told the hotel we had 3 people, and we had 6. but 8 might be pushing it. just dont let them see you ?! lol
