Anyone in north Texas, have success growing a Corkscrew vine?

It's the vigna caracalla vine. From what I've read, it grows good in the zone 9 to 11 , I live in zone 8 .

So if you know anything about it, in northern Texas, let me know!

I've seen comments that they grow in the Dallas area but need to be grown in a pot and before first frost, cut back then brought into a garage and keep from freezing
