Can be.
It depends what kind of music your going to play, and if the other instruments are good.
I personally LOVE drummers. (:

It depends. There are plenty of good bands without drummers and I've heard tons of acoustic albums without drummers and they are really great.
If live, you want the crowd to jump up and down and pump their fists, yes, I believe you need a drummer.
If you are planning on playing at the local restaurant just to entertain people, no, a drummer is not necessary.
All in all, i would say it is really good to have one. They keep the beat and, if he is good, really adds a lot to the show. It's important to find the right one, though. People generally don't enjoy they drummers that pound on their kit like it is their last time and crack cymbals every gig. Find the drummer that is right for your band, but if you can't, dont sweat it. Youll do fine without one.

You need a drummer. I am in a band and when we tried playing w/o a drummer it sounded really really bad. Drummers give the beat, and make it sound good. We had a hard time finding a drummer, but if you ask some of your other friends if they play, I'm sure you'll find someone. Good Luck!

nicely, i comprehend that The Eagles unquestionably had Don sing and play on a similar time{!}, yet for a pair of bands who permit the drummer out from in the back of the kit and in front of the mike :~ The Beatles : Ringo sings some songs. The Who : Keith Moon sings a music or 2 himself, and did some backing vocals. Fleetwood Mac : Mick Fleetwood *spoke* a music he composed on the album "Time".

nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, unless you have some other form of percussion, why dont you try using a keyboard with a drumbeat setting in the meantime until you get drummer?

but the drummer really helps
it sets the beat and it also sounds cool
