99 3.1 malibu overheated?
99 3.1 malibu overheated i found t stat stuck closed replaced it and water pump and now the coolant rises up and empties all out of the overflow and the coolant light turns on...does it just need to be bled?

I would try that first, take the cap off, fill it up, take 7mm wrench and open the bleeder above the water pump with car off, wait til fluid comes out pretty fast, tighten 7mm bolt and top off fluid.

what above pronounced, i could make certain the engine isnt warm. must be an argument with the temp sensor. yet in addition, make certain you bleed the equipment with the bleeder screws. Air wallet could reason fake readings with the temp sensor if the air pocket is close to the temp sensor/ i could bleed it first with the two bleeder screws if yours has the two

hmm, how many times did this overheat? Is it running bad? does your oil look milky on the dipstick?
