This is the rule of thumb I used when naming my girls.

I would yell the selected name, first and middle, like your mom would have yelled for you if you were in trouble.We all know we moms only use the childs middle name when we need to get there attention (meaning they are in trouble!)

Example: Victoria Ann..get your butt in here now!! Michael Thomas, you better get that trash taken out pronto!

If it rolls off your tongue easy and you get that "mamma" thing going when you say it. You have found a good one.

I can definately see yelling out Aubrey Shaye!!!

Aubrey Shaye sounds very nice. Almost any first name will go with Shaye -- for contrast, just pick any name that is longer than one syllable and doesn't start or end in the "sh" sound. Some examples:

Elizabeth Shaye

Bianca Shaye

Miranda Shaye

Naomi Shaye

Kiera Shaye

Leila Shaye

(After trying those out, I think Shaye does sound ever-so-slightly nicer with one of the two syllable options, like Aubrey or Leila.)

I personally don't like the name Shaye very much (it seems like it's become rather trendy as a middle name), but obviously you like it, so that's what matters. You also might want to consider the less common middle name option of Faye. It means "fairy", so Aubrey Faye would mean "fairy elf-king." That's kind of whimsical.

Aubrey Shaye sounds nice together.....

I like Aubrey but I'm not sure if it goes with Shaye.

How about Kiana Shaye?

Amanda Shaye...lovely

I love Aubrey and Shaye goes with it pretty well. Sex problems will occur because people won't know from her first name what sex she is. Maybe spell it Aubri.
