Coconut Milk!!! In a can, what it's supposed to look like???

I opened a can of coconut milk (never used it before) it looks like lumpy milk, but doesn't have a sour smell. What's it supposed to look like?

well, I use this all the time for a cake recipe. First off let me say that coco lopez is by far the best brand out there. It has the best taste. When you open it it is a clear liquid on top with a white lump at the bottom. The white lump looks similar to crisco. Just pour everything in the can into your recipe and mix it up. By the Way, I have never opened a can that looked like lumpy milk so I dont know if it is bad or if it is just the brand you bought

its supposed to look like that, the lumpy parts are fat, you can stir it in or strain it out, either choice is yours

It separates. Just mix it up.
