iPod Classic stuck in reboot loop?
My iPod classic was synching to the computer and when I came back it was rebooting. Now it is stuck in a constant reboot cycle. The apple screen appears for a while, the hard drive makes some whiring and clicking noises. Then the screen goes black and starts again Reseting with menu and center button doesn't work and I can boot in diagnostics mode and disk mode just fine. When I try to do a restore it restores successfully but just goes right back into its cycle again. I don't want to take the time to send it to apple, but it is still under warranty if it can't be fixed. Thanks.

Take advantage of the warranty and send it in to be fixed. There is obviously something wrong with it and if you try something that really messes it up, it might void your warranty. You don't want to take a chance on that.

if you can't get it to restore correctly than you should probably try sending it back while you still have the advantage of an applicable warranty. sometimes a corrupt file can really mess up the firmware causing it to malfunction. my guess is this is what happened. sooner or later the constant rebooting will kill the battery to the point where it won't work that well anymore.
in short....send it in while you still can
