how do ppl find MMORPGs so quickly?

Question

what i mean is, with games like this theres always ppl whove been playing since the game came out, and have tons of levels, money, items, etc. i dont like being so far below other ppl, just because i started late, knowing if only i played when they did id be as good as them. and some games release "rare/discontinued items" which only those lucky enough to have been around at the time will ever get, and those who werent so lucky have to pay ridiculous prices to own them. of course i know the way to prevent all this is to start early, when a game still has very few players. so my question is how to find such games that fast (like within the week theyre released)?

I personally wouldn't play a game where only the lucky few can get access to an item. It's really unfair and unrealistic - it may be a good way to prevent new players from joining.  Find a good mmorpg that focuses on being balanced, fair, and actively recruiting new players.  Why play somewhere where you're not appreciated?

We tend to frequent video game stores, get to know the people there, and talk about stuff - these things usually come out

There are also websites that let you know that something new is coming out 2 years from now :)

publishers add their games themself, and there are always countdowns to release date of good games, has special free contests, closed beta give aways, game promocodes. etc.
