Do you have an Aero Garden?

Do you have one, do you like it, is it worth the money? Which seed packets?

I made my own 30 years ago with a hydroponics spin to it out of a dresser drawer lined with heavy plastic of the type used to line custom showers before thin-set is added for the base. With a mini pump and a float buried in a container connected to a micro switch that pumped (premixed Watch-Us-Grow sometimes) water over 1 inch of sand that covered heifer dust that had composted a year (and steamed to sterilize it due to weeds that would pop up if you didn't), anything I put in there grew. And unlike the beds that were steamed for tobacco seedlings, I didn't have slugs or snails. Since they couldn't keep their hands out of it, ma and dad bragged me up. Lamps are important but water levels are too. If you like to eat fresh stuff and you go through enough of it, they're great. Take a vacation and you might be giving stuff away.

But a C-note or more for what I made from cast off materials as a kid? Sorry, but I don't know what your time is worth or the value your are going to get for the money but everybody, and I mean everybody needs a hobby! Have fun and go for it! Unlike a book that gets read and sits like a trophy on a shelf maybe to be read again, this is something to play with indefinitely.

I have had my aero garden for several months now and i LOVE IT! Its the best thing that has happened to my cooking in years. I like the Gourmet herb kit. Its great for chicken, potatoes and salads. The mint in this goes great in my tea or as a decorative accent to a main dish. The dill i put in mashed potatoes or baked potatoes. Virtually everything else can go with chicken and meats. I consider most of my cooking to be basic italian american so i usually stick with either th Gourment Herb kit or the Italian Herb kit. Just be sure to read carefully on when to prune the plants. If you keep up with it your garden will last a super duper long time. If you slack off you will notice ugly results. Enjoy!!

an areo garden is very nice. you can keep plants such as herbs on your kitchen counter, and they grow larger than anything ive seen. also if a plant isnt growing as strong as you like it, just pick it up, and throw it out, and replace it with a new plant. the basil will grow the most imppressive, and the parsley will grow the least impressive. you can buy these at a bargin of $179 at certian stoires, although most sell it for about $200

some of the seed packs are

    gourmet herbs

    basil

    spices

    petunias

    cherry tomatos

    salad greens
