DOS help !!?

the script above is perfectly correct bur it depends upon your computer. you can only use this command on a computer which is connected to a network of at least one computer. you can use this ideally in your school.

copy the above script and paste it into notepad.

then save the file as anything.bat

and duble click on it to start the messenger.

you should know the name of the computer you want to chat with.

to know it start command promnpt and type in net view.

another well developed program is net message. it was made by my friend. try it once it is called net message. see my sources to download it at:

note: the program is found in a zipped folder with an extension of tar.gz

to open it downlaod the free program winrar and unzip it and.

view the readme file to view how to use netMessage.

Above answers are right mostly, make a new text file, paste the contents of the script, save it as whatever.bat and youre good to go.........

BUT if you get a message saying it couldnt do it, from windows XP SP2 messenger service should be disabled by default, so you might need to start the messenger service....Start/Run/Services.msc...find messenger, right click, start. :)

Hi! Script uses built-in messenger service from windows systems (it's not MSN or smth. like this). This service (it's name "messenger") disabled by default in Windows XP. You can use it to send pop-up messages from one computer to another, but messenger service should be up and running on both PCs. And this script.. well, look at the first answer ;)

Save this text to file with extension .BAT and double-click on it or

Start->Run...->(Type the path and the filename.BAT) and press Enter

This BAT file will send a Message to network User.

write this code in a file and save it as a batch file with .bat extension, e.g - filename.bat

then double click the file, it will execute the script.
