Need some fund raising ideas for my class???
My class and I are participating in The Connecticut Governor's Innovation Challenge and what we are doing is creating a game for 8th graders using the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) concept and currently our "company" (TEK'RUSH) has $200 and we need a way to raise more money to get the things that we need to complete the challenge before May 1. So are there any fund raising ideas that could help us?? All ideas are welcome :)
Oh and my class and I are a group of students from the 11th and 12th grades.

Ask businesses in the area to donate gift cards and items for gift baskets and then have a gift basket auction or raffle. Some businesses will donate large items and these can be raffled off separately.
Good Luck!
Source(s): Have held gift basket auctions at our school for years. It always brings in at least $1,000 quick. - 1 decade ago
Bake sales are generally an easy and quick way to raise money.
A 50/50 raffle is popular, where you sell tickets for $1 and when it is over the winner gets 50% of the sales...you get the rest. It depends on how long you sell tickets as to how much money you raise.
Another big fundraiser for us has always been a spaghetti dinner plate. If there are a few parents that would be willing to help, it is inexpensive to make and we usually sell it for $5 a plate with a roll and a drink. We usually serve about 100 people and it cost us about $100 to make. You look to earn approximately $400 with 100 plates.

I would say a car wash but it's a bit cold right now for that.
So here are some ideas:
Bake Sale
Rummage Sale
Basketball (or other sport) tournament(entry fee half goes to winners half to your class)
Take pledges on scores ($1 per point or something of that nature) at bowling or another sport (combine that with the basketball tournament to increase prize money)
If it wasn't so early in the morning I'm sure I'd have other ideas. I hope these help.

Evrey year our class holds a show called Mr. FCHS. it's where some of the(straight) guys in our school dress up in drag and hold a pagent. it sounds really stupid but it is absoulutley HILARIOUS and we raised about $1,000 this year doing it.if that dosent float your boat, then you can also go out and ask companies for sponsorships. (they give you money and you make a poster or something to advertise them at your event.)

Have the kids sell candy at school! We did it at my school and the candy went like crazy! Just get a variety of candy, snickers, butterfinger, twix, kit-kat. The students will by them up right away! it works really well!

Well at my school we had a thing called a crazy hair day lol, It was fun, we had 2 pay money to have it like that, since our skool only allows natural dyed colors. Maybe a Aussie day =] a giant barbi. lol

Maybe a 'bring-and-buy' sale? for example, pre-loved toys, books, clean clothing etc. - like a car-boot sale. I'm not sure how you would work out the logistics, but I guess that you could figure something out!
