Why are foreign language questions and answers appearing in the English section of Yahoo!?
This is an example of one:

Apa yang bisa membuat wanita gemuk menjadi lebih cantik ?
6 days ago (Tiebreaker)
As you can see, English is used by Yahoo in its header and info details. But the Asker is not using English, and none of the answers is in English. Is this not a violation of rules? I understand that if anyone, for instance, answers that question in - say, Nepalese - they will receive a violation notice. Is that fair? And is the foreign language above a REAL language, or a made-up one?

The language of the question you referred to is in Indonesian. It approximately means "what makes overweight ladies to be more beautiful?"
The language you participate in must match the language of the site you are on. If not, then your participation is a violation. This violation happen because:
1. People whose native languages other than English do not aware that they have to access Yahoo! in their respective language version in order to participate in Y!A. Many of those people have accounts in yahoo.com instead of yahoo.co.(their respective version such as id, de, fr, etc.). So, if they want to participate, they actually have to type their language version first before typing 'answers.yahoo.com', e.g., id.answers.yahoo.com, fr.answers.yahoo.com, etc.
2. People whose native languages other than English sometimes post their questions (in the US site) in English. The problem occur, when their contacts or fans who come from the same countries but don't know proper English insist on participating. They post their content in their respective languages (thus making a violation) instead of in English to express their opinions better.

Don't you realise that the UK and US are now multi-cultural nations. The above is a real language spoken by over 250 million people in Malaysia and Indonesia. Faham? Sangat cantik, lah!

It is indeed a violatation of rules yes, Yahoo! needs to monitor these more closely or make the users aware that they have to post on their own countries site.

It is a violation to type in another language on the English language site.
The language that you have shown us looks fake to me, but what do I know ? I have trouble with English sometimes.

Click on the flag for Indonesia at the bottom of the screen and check it out: Tanya (ask) Jawab (answer) Temukan (discover) and look at Profil Saya (your profile) and Ditanyakan oleh Sasi (questions asked by Sasi) in Indonesian.
The questions & answers for Malaysia are given in English.
Whilst acknowledging that the USA and the UK are multi-cultural societies, those who wish to communicate in their own language are free to do so - on the appropriate Yahoo! site but if they wish to reach out to English speaking nations then it would make sense to ask their questions in English, surely?
I suggest you take this up with the Yahoo! team (who are lovely, intelligent, thoughtful and caring people) and ask them to look into the matter on your behalf.
While you're at it, would you mind asking them if we can have a flag for Scotland and provision for gaelic questions and answers?

It's a bahasa language--yes it's real. It's either Indonesian, Malay or Tagalog. What is the problem?
