well! it'd depend on the type of restau you're dining with. If it's a fastfood then you get to talk to them when you need something but in a casual dining enviro, I guess it's normal that you get to talk to the waiters/waitress especially when you're not familiar with the food or the place. They're just of big help sometimes

Yes I frequent a local family restaurant and have come to know the workers there over time so I do : )

Always. They are a lot of fun. Montana's is the place to go in our town. We are very well known there.

depends on if they are busy or not....and if they're a chatter....hehe
sometimes chatting means a better tip (on the server side...i don't base my tip on that to another server)
