Can a UK resident drive in the US on a provisional license with a licensed driver?

Please read these details before answering>> I am a US citizen who resides in the UK. I have an expired US license which was completely clean before moving to the UK. I now have a provisional license (learners) from the UK, but will be with a UK licensed driver when we visit the US. Can anyone tell me if this is allowed? Thanks

No. A provisional license is NOT valid outside the country where it was issued.

yes. your driving codes are more strict than the US so it's no big deal. Except in Texas, California, New York, New Jersey, and Georgia.
