Age Difference Relationship?

How do you feel about somewhat long age difference relationships? About 5-15 years of difference? My opinion is that if you love that person and that person loves you back, it shouldn't matter. But I want to hear (read) what you think.

I honestly see nothing wrong with relationships that have a bit of an age difference. As long as you both love eachother, and you're aren't dating eachother because of money, popularity, etc.

Well from my experience, I wouldnt advise it. When I was 21 I had a 30 year old girlfriend. It was great at the start, everything was going like a normal relationship, but over time you realise small differences. Like for example when we would go over to her friends house or when we'd go to a party with her friends you feel abit akward as everyone over there is either in a serious relationship or married with kids and are all around the same age group. Im not saying people of 20's and 30's dont mix, cos they do but even though she was in love with me I think she felt akward around her friends for being with someone so much younger than her.. Also generally from my experience women aged 30+ are looking for a more stable serious relationship, so if you have no intentions of being in a stable serious relationship then I wouldnt suggest you get into it in the first place.

    Hope this is of help...

Love had no age. The only thing that is important that they love each other. My parents have a 12 year age difference, and they have been married for more than 15 years and they are happy. Who cares if there are 20 years of difference in between two people?

I agree. Age ain't nothing but a number! The people I know have more years between them than 15 years! I even am in love with a woman 20 years younger than me, but what's the most important part is these relationships are still going strong, and they ignore the stares from other people. I hope to stay with my best friend for ever, she's the greatest!

I think it depends more on how old the people are than what the difference between them is. For instance, 10 years is not a big deal at all if the individuals are 35 and 45. But if theyre 14 and 24, it's very different. I'm 25 and dating a 40 year old, but it would not have been appropriate for me to be with him when I was a teenager.

This is an honest answer - it's hard to work out because of the different points in life that the people would be in. Sex is fine...that probably wouldn't even be a problem until the oldest was elderly....but its everything else involved with the relationship. So I'd say it's a 50/50 shot, just depends.

To a point age makes a difference.

As people get older they think about things differently than younger ones. People in their late 30's to 40's or 50's have already had marriages, divorces, kids, homes, etc. During these marriages people have gotten burned. Lost houses and kids to divorces.

Younger people in their teens or 20's haven't had these things happen yet. They tend to worry about a lost B/F or G/F.

    In my opinion:

an 18 yr old is too young for 35

a 25 yr old is too young for 40's

When you are 50 you'll be with a 35 yr old??

You mentioned a 15 yr span..

Here's my method of telling if the age difference is too much:

Subtract the younger person's age from the older person's age. If it is less than 15, then the age difference could be a problem.

All relationships are unique. My Uncle was graduating High School the same year my Aunt was entering Kindergarten. The age difference makes much less difference then the participants within that relationship.

Theres nothing wrong with age difference you is so right honey. Some people think its so wrong but if you love the person then it shouldn't matter. I like older me and have a crush on them you wouldn't believe how old they is. May be 16-45.
