Why can't people drive safely?
Even after 'the mother of all accidents' that took place near Ghangoot, Au Dhabi, there has not been an iota of fear witnessed in the UAE drivers' hearts/minds. Nor could new rules seem to have made any difference. Those who want to drive at break-neck speed should go jump off some cliff rather than putting other people lives in danger. Pl drive carefully. Just a passionate appeal. If it reaches your heart, may be you are able to save many a lives on the next sharp turn.

"Why can't people drive safely?" - They can. They just choose not to.
Sadly, road rules are not policed here so those who are too ignorant, arrogant and self-centred to just do the right thing are not 'made' to. On the odd, rare occasion that any penalty is applied, the fine is just loose change for the perpetrator.
I LOVE living in this country, but the thoughtlessness of others drives me batty! (not just on the roads either)

That particular accident seems to have happened because people didn't respect the danger caused by fog. People need to slow down in fog and turn their lights on.

i think that if they decrease the number of car lanes in the streets and let people be stuck in traffic jams they would drive safely.
