Do you find it awkward...?
When a first name has the same sound as the last?
i.e. Kasen Kelton
Jonathon Kelton
By sounding the same, I mean the "en" "on" sound
I know a Stephen Stevens...

Don't find it awkward. Besides Jonathon Kelton doesn't sound the same.

Depends. I think the name easily becomes repetitive in such cases. But for example Kasen and Kelton not only end in n, they also begin with the same letter and are the same length which enhances this whereas Jonathon being longer (three syllables versus two) and less similar isn't nowhere near as awkward with Kelton.

I think it is awkward sometimes...
Kasen Kelton is too much the same
Now Jonathon Kelton isn't so bad because "Jonathon" has more syllables before you notice the same ending sound...
Like my daughter has 2 middle names...
Kaylee Ann Lacy......All middle names of family members...
Her name would have been fine just Kaylee Ann but it would have sounded silly Kaylee Lacy but Kaylee Ann Lacy sounds OK..it's broken up...

no i dont find that weird...what i find weird is when parents give their kids first names that are almost identical to their last names:
robert roberts
steven stevens
david davidson
greg gregson
james jameson
i actually knew a steven stevenson

yeah, stay away from names ending in 'n' with that last name.
or names that end in K, it will sound like a run on name.

you dont really realize it sounds like that unless you think into it, or someone mentions it. but i dont think its awkward
