Normally, when prescribed to use cholesterol lowering drugs(statins), a periodic blood works is required to check progress. Any abnormalities such as muscle pain, tiredness, liver functions, etc.. caused by the statins, will prompt your doctor to do alternative route in lowering your LDL.

See a Dr. about just lowering your pressure without taking drugs.

There are certain foods that are worse than others.

A good diet is always better than taking drugs.

A nutritionists should be able to help.
