Did your kids, or any kids that live in your house ever accidentally dial 911?

When my niece was 2 and a half, she dialed 911 and the police arrived at our door 10 minutes later wondering if everything was okay. I told him it was my niece.

My nephew did when he was 2 years old, he was running around the house, doing the baby talk, at first I thought "How cute!!" then a few minutes later 911 called me back, asking me if there was an emergency, I said no and explained what had happened, then I got yelled at by her. When I turned to look at my nephew he did this really loud giggle and ran off for me to chase him :) I couldn't get mad at him ♥

  • Yes, my ex friends lsdt 3 numbers were 911 and I was dialing and guess I turned the phone off and on by accident so instead of dialing ***-**** I dialed 911 >.<

A woman at work used to do it all the time. For some reason she had trouble dialing 1-919-

The police actually showed up once!

No, but my husband and I have done that. We got a new phone and were trying to set it up, and mount it on the wall. We were pushing buttons and didnt realize....three cops showed up at our door and wanted to come in to make sure everything was ok. I guess they sent three cops because the number was dialed but there was no voice on our end.*

My sis did. Her name is Alivia. She made me SO MAD that I chased her then she called 911 on my (and Alivia's) home phone and dialed 911 then hung up very quick when I got closer 2 her. Then 911 called us and Adith (my babysitter that I'm 2 old for) picked up the phone and I think the police asked: "Is everything O.K?". And I think Adith said "No. Alivia called. Sry." And hung up. 2 make a LONG story short: Alivia just embarrised me.

    THE END!

P.S And it was NO accident.

Oh my youngest sister dialed it quite often one day when she was little even after we repeatedly told her it was a bad thing to do....she thought it was funny! She was a spiteful lil wench I tell ya! (Still is actually at 18 y/o) No police showed but the dispatch person did call us back one time to ask if everything was okay...we had to explain that it was the little one & we were trying to get her to stop.

Nah. I called the emergency number for fun (on a cruise) the crew came down to my room and asked me what happened. I called just to try out if the numbers really work

Not yet, but my daughter is only three, there will be plenty of opportunities for her to do that in the future.

yea, my brat cousin kept doing that and they threatened his mother because she didn't know how to actually watch her own children. Sad, I had to unplug the phone from the lil bassstard
