* Open Spybot>Mode>Advanced>Settings>Ignore Products.
* Check the box next to excite in the large window listing the ignore products.
Generally, Spybot is highly influenced by community, thus it has weird notions what is "bad". Some of programs it tries to uninstal are pretty much legitimate (although on border of being so) and have uninstallers provided.
However, its freeware :)

If you delete the items using SSD, then you have the "RECOVERY" option: there you can select one or more problems to correct and recover your system to a previous state before the correction.
If you have enable the "System Restore Points" of Windows thru SSD, then you could use this option to recover your system.
How to enable "System Restore Points" in SSD:
If you are using Windows XP or Vista you have the possibility to enable the creation of System Restore Points for each fix. This option can be set in the Main Settings part of the Settings section.
Hope this help

open ssd and on the left there's a restore see if it will work for ya, remember just because it appears in the search doesn't mean it needs to be deleted do some research on the file before you delete it

spbot s&d must block you to open the site http://www.excite.com/
open settings button of spybot and then check block sites list and remove the name http:// www.excite.com from the list then press save restart your computer and then try to visit the site again.
