Anyone else opposed to changing the 2ND amendment?

How many other rights are they planning on stripping from us before their masterplan of a police state, becomes an all too terrifying reality? I know I'm not the only person just a little concerned about this.

The right to bear arms for self protection, sports, and defense of community is one of our rights that I think defines who we Americans are. I am very tired of the debate that criminals and criminal lovers keep bringing to the table in their attempts to take away my liberty.

Those who claim you are paranoid to be concerned about being able to protect yourself and your family seem to be living in complete denial about the world we live in. The numerous thumbs downs my answer receives will help make my point that many Americans don't believe it should be legal to protect your own life. They have infinite respect for the lives of criminals but none for the lives of honest citizens trying to live a respectable life.

I think you might be a little paranoid. Also, they are not planning to change the 2nd Amendment, rather they are going to try and interpret what it means, as some people's interpretation might be differerent from your own.

lmbnsa, you said 'No one has the right to change the constitution or amendments!!!!! Anyone who tries should be kicked out of the United States'.

What are you talking about? The amendments are changes to the constitution and the constitution specifically states that it can be changed. Are you saying that the founding fathers should have been kicked out of the US for passing the Bill of Rights?

Obama desires to establish a gadget like Canada, in spite of the undeniable fact that it does not artwork and hence Republicans don't like it. the present gadget does artwork yet some human beings do not desire to get well being care untill they want it and then they are in a position to't get it. Plus we are approximately 12 trillion money in dept so why could we make that worse?

No one has the right to change the constitution or amendments!!!!! Anyone who tries should be kicked out of the United States, Whats wrong with people, the constitution was made for us by our forefathers to insure our freedom. If we pluck away at it little by little there won't be anything left to guarantee our freedom

I am totally opposed to changing the 2nd or any amendment to the constitution. I don't believe we have ANY politicians smarter let alone as smart as our founding fathers. Just people with greedy agendas.

I will never dis arm to anyone. It is our right to protect ourselves and our country against ANYONE. Some Americans are so disconnected that they truly believe that guns kill people. People KILL people. America is base on freedom, land of the free. How can we be free if our government's aim is to control us. If certain citizens do not see the value of defending yourself and your freedom by means of a CHOSEN WEAPON, then don't expect anyone to protect you. I myself will not fight for you cowards. Imagine if the british disarm the colonies, then our fore fathers would have tried to fight them with sticks and stones. Then were would we be now. What A Sham! I am so disappointed with the people that believe we need to give up our right to defend ourselves, our beliefs and our freedom. We are still free and people with the like minds of me will always be.

Fat lot of good asking this at this time of day...schools is out & you just heard the children of this country...our future...

Yes, I am concerned, I want the 'patriot' act, or whatever they are calling it this week, done away with. We need to elect people who will protect our rights, not destroy them!

You're not...though the right to keep and bear arms is bit dated it's mandate wasn't entirely for hunting and self protection. Without arms we can't defend our right to free speech and against tyranny in general. PEACE!

If they change the constitution, all they will accomplish is to make me a closet criminal - I won't give up my guns until they are completely empty, and the gun control crowd is fewer in number!

I'm completely opposed to it. I'm with you. We need to be aware because as soon as somebody has an agenda, with a little power and money we're in big trouble.
