I am a big guy (more round than tall), however I am playing paintball on a regular basis...?

and the bruises and broken skin patches are beginning to mount. I am considering buying a padded jersey or maybe a chest protector, but I would like to know how the sizing on these items works. Are they similar to shirt sizes, or do they run small or big? Any help would be appreciated.

I can resemble that remark on buying large size clothing. It all depends on the manufacturer of the product.! Nothing ticks me off more than to buy an XXL thinking that all my others are that size and have it fit like a condom!

I'd call the manufacture of your jersey and ask for their customer service. They should be able to tell you actual sizes of their product.

    Good luck, big man!

I have a 52 inch chest, not a small person. I can where the largest size that most chest protectors, elbow and knee pads that are commonly offered. However, I just fit in them. so if your larger then I, most may not fit. The chest protectors that use velcro straps to attach can be made larger with extension straps, and may be your best bet.
