Did Obamas Speech Answer All your Questions?

NOPE ; IT DID NOT ! This man and his Church are stuck in a time warp ! This is 2008 not 1808 ! All the avenues to become successful and wealthy in this country are all available to all black Americans` ! It is not white Americas` fault that some members of the black community still seem to want live in the past ! My goodness you have NAACP , United Black College Fund , Black caucus in Congress , Black College`s , Black Churches` , Black Miss America , etc. , etc. What does this man and his Church gain from having his members` wallowing in the past ? What this so called pastor seems to want is for the majority of his membership to torture themselves into oblivion by him telling them constantly " how it used to be " ! Seems as if he believes that if his congregation gains to much knowledge , other than what he wants them to learn he will lose his hold on them ! Then he won`t be the see all , know all , and do all " man" in control ! It`s all about power ! Wright is using "sterotyping" of white people to the fullest to keep his grip on these people in his Church ! As far as I could see , and from what all I heard in that Church , Jesus wasn`t welcome there !!! Common sense white people and common sense black people get along just fine without a pastor of this sort , black or white !

First of all, I was amazed at how polished his delivery was, and how finely crafted the speech was. If he actually penned that speech, he is far better than I thought.

What especially caught my ear was:

"Like other black churches, Trinity's services are full of raucous laughter and sometimes bawdy humor. They are full of dancing, clapping, screaming and shouting that may seem jarring to the untrained ear. The church contains in full the kindness and cruelty, the fierce intelligence and the shocking ignorance, the struggles and successes, the love and yes, the bitterness and bias that make up the black experience in America."

Now, I have a bit of insight into the black community. I remember taking a group of black Baptist ministers to Brazil. The purported purpose of the trip was supposed to be educational and spiritual. Instead, all I heard from these ministers was how much they were paid, and what type of flashy, showy car their congregtion gave them. Most of them wore clothes I would describe as gaudy... Cazal frames, gold jewelry, and all the other trappings of excess.

There were very few instances where I even saw a glimmer of spirituality. Crass consumerism was predominant. I attended some of their services, and I heard shocking comments about how all their problems were somehow the fault of white America. That was what shocked me. It seemed like the congregation didn't appreciate all that America provided them; instead, everything they lacked was a source of brewing anger.

What Obama left out is that, if I heard so many racially provocative statements during my few visits to black churches, he obviously heard them innumerable times over twenty years. That is undeniable. He is conveniently leaving this out.

It answered many questions.

Obama is NOT saying he rejects Rev. Wright.

Obama is NOW saying his campaign is about RACE.

The cards are beginning to fall into place if you can read between the lines.

Obama's only complaint appears to be he finds Rev. Wright's message to be less than politically correct. He DOESN'T say he rejects the PRINCIPLES behind the speeches Wright has made over the last twenty years.

It is becoming clear why Obama's wife has made the anti-American statements attributed to her. She too has attended that hate-filled congregation for the last two decades.

Yes, he certainly did. I now know for sure he is a racist in his heart of hearts. He is the one on this race issue and pushing it hard. He is trying to make this country who has come a very long way to stop racism be the forefront of his candidacy. He left out the fact he needs to learn more about the history and slavery and how it came about and the fact that corporate America is not to blame. He also left out that if the Black community listens to this garbage of his pastor it will only keep them down. When they need to rise above this past and then they will succeed.

What did Senator Obama leave out?

He left out the truth!

He said the path to a more perfect union “requires all Americans to realize that your dreams do not have to come at the expense of my dreams.” That sounds great, but he neglected to note that the realization of HIS dreams (for national health care, for example) will definitely come at the expense of the dreams (for financial security, for example) of untold millions of Americans – black and white, the rich and the not-so-rich.

Obama has, IMO, passed Hillary in the contest for the lead in the race for Stealth Care – the promise and imposition of socialized medicine for which he has provided no plan and for which he can provide no details. He has promised “affordable, quality health care coverage for every American” and says the premiums for those who already have health insurance “will be less.” He says his plan will “bring down the cost of health care” and “reduce a typical family’s premium by as much as $2,500 per year.” This Stealth Care promise contradicts the experience of every country that has “universal health care,” including our own. Take a look at the financial disasters we call Medicare and Medicaid as well as the VA Health Care System for Veterans. He is promising the impossible and he knows it. His “dream” will quickly be exposed for what it is: a nightmare.

Obama says that among “the real culprits of the middle class squeeze” are “a corporate culture “rife with …greed” and “a Washington dominated by lobbyists….” Those things are true. But he did not explain WHY the lobbyists and special interests are overrunning Washington on behalf of the greedy corporations. What he did not say is that the lobbyists are in Washington because that’s where “our” Representatives and Senators who sell influence have their offices! The lobbyists don’t go to Washington to visit the Smithsonian or the National Zoo. They go to Washington to visit the people WE elected to serve US!

It is well known that when a drug deal goes down on a dark street corner, we condemn the pusher more than the buyer; a convicted seller gets a stiffer sentence than a convicted user. But when the “deal” involves influence peddling, we condemn the corporate buyers and ignore the congressional pushers. OUR elected “representatives” have been selling us, ALL of us, down the proverbial river for decades, but they have blinded us to their evil deeds and have focused our attention on the corporate demons who use the influence they have bought and paid for (with the profits they made from using the influence they previously bought and paid for) from OUR elected “representatives.”

THAT is what Senator Obama left out. At least that’s PART of what he left out.

As always, he gets away with it. France & England get their oil from Lybia, how is that our concern? France & England are more than capable of taking care of this situation without dragging us in. Obama should not get us involved in the civil wars that are going on in several Moslem countries right now, which are being called civilian protests against their government. He needs to see about our soldiers in Iraq & Afghanistan, secure our borders; (Which he is not doing.), start drilling for oil in our country so we don`t have to depend on the Moslems, Mexicans, Hugo Chaves or Brazil & fix the budget & economic mess that he has created. His idea of getting our oil from Brazil is just going to be another disaster. If you recall, that was done before in the 40`s, 50`s & 60`s when South American countries & Mexico appropriated all American owned companies, booted them out & never paid them a single penny for their properties & businesses, which included oil production. I can take listening to Obama`s whining once a week at the most, he`s nothing more than a wind bag complaining about the Republicans, the T.E.A. Party members, Arizona & Fox News Channel. Not many people are falling for his lies & incompetence any longer. By now most Americans know that they made a big mistake in electing him, he is not brilliant, he keeps making decisions that threaten the livelihood of Americans, he meets in the WHite House 2 to 3 times a week with Richard Tromka, the Union Boss who has threatened several state leaders with violence. He makes some hell-a-baloo about anything & then he takes off to some foreign country. I thought it was funny when he left last week for several South American countries, right after announcing that he was sending our troops to Lybia to establish the "No-Fly-Zone" with France & other European countries. Then, last Monday the news said that Obama was returning 2 hours earlier so that he could deal with the Lybian situation. I do hope he will spend more than 2 hours dealing with this other mess he has gotten us into. LOL Even if the world was going to end in 2012, I can`t wait for it to get here so we can vote him out of our country`s highest office. RESET 2012

I think it showed the world that he would not make a good president,He tried to please all sides of the issue,and make himself unjudgemental on where he should go or what side he would pick,basically he made no real decision.It was a great tap dance around the issues laid before him,but now I can understand why he wouldnt put his hand over his heart or wear the American Flag lapel pin.

Failed to speak out prior to run for office. So he says he does not accept the pastor now but what about before?

I found it too watered down considering the specific nature of the questions it was supposed to answer.

However in politics, given the fact that there is a month of down time till the next primary, he can simply say " I have addressed the issue" and wait for everyone to lose interest or forget.

But, thats just me...my problem with Obama has always been specifics.
