How old should your child be when you stop referring to them in Months?

18 months. I tell people my daughter will be 3 in November. If they want to know exactly how old she is, they can do the math.

When he turns 2, I'll start saying his age in years. Right now, I always say the month, but then follow up with "he'll be two in January" so nobody has to do the math :) When he was 17 months, I'd say "he'll be a year and 1/2 next month"!! Kind of thing. My son is 21 months old today!!!! Damn, time flies.

HEY! My daughter is 69 months old. Okay. Wait. That does sound bad.

Really, doh. I stopped when they turned two. I'm guilty of the 23 month old thing. Now that my son is 2, I won't be doing months any more.

Dear I guess that is up to the Mother....I know my sweet 264 month of child is such a delight♥ She is just so sweet and cuddy....................oh............and she is a Mommy to.....she has a son that is 34 months old♥

the reason is because when you buy clothes, they come in "months" until the age of 2. Reason being because changes are so frequent...month to month....sorry, it's a mommy thing

I don't know but I wish Mom would stop telling people I'm 447 months old...its really embarrassing....

I would say 11 months. After that you can say they are "about a year"!!
