Can you look at this fantasy baseball trade?
I messed up my auto-pick so I drafted all pitchers rounds 1-9. This left me with a terrible lineup, but awesome pitching. I've been trying to trade a couple of pitchers in order to get my offensive numbers up. Here's the trade offer:
My team would get:
Carl Crawford
Paul Konerko
Matt Kemp
His team would get:
Corey Hart
Brandon Webb
I want to accept it, but I hate giving up Hart because I think he's going to have a great year. At the same time, I need all the help I can get with offensive. Thanks for looking!
Thanks for the responses. The league is just a standard Yahoo league. I don't really have any weaker pitchers because my others are:
Santana
Bedard
Peavy
Sabathia
Beckett
For closers I have:
Putz
Papelbon
Soriano
So, as you can see, I'm kind of stuck. Any starting pitcher that I offer will need to have a solid player in return. However, my back is against the wall, so I feel like I have to make a deal just so I can compete in some of the offensive categories.

Crawford is very positive for your lineup, but he alone will not fill the voids needed in your offense judging by the pitching staff you own. Giving up Corey Hart is not too senstive of a case since Braun is looking terrible and is diving head first into a sophmore slump, and J.J. Hardy is not consistent as exposed last season, so the Milwaukee youth movement isnt exactly something to lean on in the fantasy world, but great for baseball in general.
If you're going to target Hitters while minimizing the exporting of your stellar SP staff, then here's a few targets I suggest.
Jimmy Rollins, Prince Fielder, Grady Sizemore, B.J. Upton, Curtis Granderson.
G'Luck!!

I think you could do slightly better, but I'd accept.
Crawford is great for SB's and should get 50+ again this year. He also won't hurt you in any other categories. Konerko has very good power, but his BA is fairly low. Kemp is not old at all. In fact, he's got room to improve. This season, he's a 20/20 threat. Hart is probably a 25/25 threat and he's playing in a great Brewers lineup. Webb is obviously an ace. If you can, I'd try countering with one of your weaker pitchers. If he doesn't accept that, then I'd accept this.
Hope I helped!
Edit: Well, I'd switch Webb with Beckett. Beckett may be a better pitcher when healthy, but he's been very injury-prone and is already dealing with injuries this year. If he spends time on the DL, this could be a steal for you. If not, you still have 5 elite pitchers.

Wish that I knew what the rest of your pitching looked like and your league make-up, but.
I think that you can cancel out Kemp & Hart. Are Crawford and Konerko enough for Webb? Crawford brings SBs but that is pretty much all for an OF.
With 40 players having 20+ SBs last year, you should be able to get speed at less cost.
I think that you can get more value for Webb.
Try countering with one of your lesser pitchers.

No, the trade doesn't look good, reynolds can give you 40+ homers and some steals but K's a lot but then if you notice this season, david wright is leading the MLB in K's so far so that isn't looking good and if he is leading the league in K's how is he going to help you with average? Also you might have to give another guy with reynolds to complete the trade while both of them have simliar stats.

No trade. I see that you need offense, but still, the only decent guy you would be getting is Crawford.
I guarantee you can get much better players for both Hart and Webb. Try offering up Beckett or Sabathia for Crawford. Straight up. See if he bites.
But this is definitely a NO trade!
Good luck!

I wouldn't do this trade. Konerko and Kemp aren't as good as they were a few years ago and Webb is a great pitcher and I also think that Hart will have a good year. Crawford should have an average season.
I'd decline the trade.

Why not trade some of your other starters instead?
If you really need hitting, then why not make as many deals as you can to improve your offense.
Pick two aces (Johan and Peavy) to keep then deal away the rest for good hitters and mid tier pitching.
Combo's like Adrian Gonzalez and Chad Billingsley, Garret Atkins and Ian Snell are the kind of deals you should be going after.
If you fell like dealing Johan or Peavy, deal them for the best bats you can get. Holliday, Ortiz etc/
Good luck.

I say get rid of a couple more starters and get a superstar or two on you offense. You DO NOT need that many starters.
Also, i do not beleive that you need to have two big time closers in jj putz and john papelbon. as they only really work on a couple of stats. (era, and saves)

screw it. kemp is getting old, and I doubt he is going to do well this year. konerko is decent, but not worth it. as for crawford, he's is the only good player in that deal. you deserve better if you are going to give up hart and webb!!!
