when you recieve federal grants for college, do you get to keep the money you dont use?

im recieving a pell grant and some other kind of grant. i just need to know if i dont spend the whole amount do i get to keep the rest?

    Yeah it happened to me. I received a pell grant and student aid and it was like 2020. but i received a scholarship from my dad's company and my balance was neg 2020 meaning that I got a refund check for 2020. I spent that on ed hardy, blac label, request(woah) but yea u will get a refund if u dont spend tha whole amount

    The amount you're getting for a pell grant is 1/10th the amount of your tuition. So, i'm assuming your parents are paying for all of the tuition, and you got this money they don't know about, correct?

    Don't kill the goose that lays the golden egg. I'd be up front with whoever is paying your tuition that you got the pell grant.

    they love you more than the government, i guarantee it.
