The neutral wire is exactly like the two other wires from the weather head to panel. So who ever does this job cannot mix up these wires because you will explode your panel and your meter. It is a very dangerous job so get an electrician to do it. There may be something else going on from weather head to main panel, which will be your responsibility. At least it is in my area.If you get an estimate over 200 call at least 3 electricians.

The best thing for you to do is an upgrade to a 200 amp service. The cost to REPAIR your situation would be about 1/3 -1/2 the cost for a service upgrade. Your best bet is to get 3 estimates from local licensed electrical contractors and get a cost difference for a repair and an upgrade. An upgrade will increase the value of your home, not to mention a greatly improved, safer electrical system.......Mike

Probably a service call of 4-8 hours labor, depending on the length of the run and The condition of the conduit and meter base. Figure the service rate at $100/ hour and go from there. The rate may be high depending on your location and local wage rates.

A upgrade to a 200 amp service will probably cost around $1200. This depends on where you live though. Local labor and material cost can vary.
