When watching a horror or suspense movie, do you cover your eyes to a "scary scene" ???
I can't help it but I do . You know the moment of total "suspense or horror" is coming, the music in the background or silence tell you, NOW ! Why the heck we do this ???

of course no, i like to watch horror scenes, but not those showing barbarian killing like Chip the heads off, and bring the guts out of abdomen !! i used to laugh at them when i was a kid , all others covering there eyes and heads with a blanket or something... but movies like zombies are so funny but some r really have scary parts , but what i do is opening my eyes wide :D if there is ugly killing i wont continue the film and would return it back and change it with something more humanity :) nice question by the way

Not the first time i see it, but if i re-watch something and know what is coming, i close or cover my eyes if i don't want to witness it a second time!
Like i remember watching Harry Potter when i was about 10 and i covered my eyes when Voldemort appeared! Hehe

Good morning lovely. No, I watch with eyes wide open. However...hubby has to walk me to the bathroom, and check behind the shower curtain before I can safely pee. Then he has to wait right outside the door so I know where he is. (He's notorious for getting a good belly laugh out of scaring the patootie out of me) I can't sit with my back to a window or door either. lol Gosh I love scary movies!!

yeah, when I was a kid I did that a lot. When I was like 8, my Dad was watching the Exorcist, and I joined him. Kept my eyes covered for most of the movie.

No, because I payed to see a movie and not some shadow blocking the screen... I mean honestly you know what your going to see before you even enter the dang theater! It says Rated R, PG-13, and etc... YOU DECIDE WHETHER YOU WANT TO WATCH IT OR NOT...

i watch the 'scary scenes'. doesn't mean i don't get scared, cuz i do.... but what's the point of watching a film if i'm going to cover my eyes and not watch certain parts?

sometimes, or what i usually do (which is really stupid) is have a poncho on or something like that, and peer through the holes with my eyes squinting. Always seems to help! my bf just laughs at me. whatever i do, the noise scares me to!!

My eyes and my ears as well! At that time I wish I was an octopus because two hands are just not enough!

I had my eyes covered throughout most of the Saw movies!
